Gary Lamb

Gary was born and raised in Cleveland, Oh.  He graduated from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in GIS. Upon completion, he moved to Knoxville, TN to pursue education in the investigations field at the University of Tennessee.  He gathered extensive training in criminal procedures and evidence analysis, surveillence, locating and interviewing witnesses, background research, photography and videography.  The training established a background for working investigations on cases ranging from thefts to murders; accidents to infidelity.  Since starting Lamb Investigations, Gary has worked with a number of attorneys, assisting from the initial interviews all the way to the conclusion of trials.  Over the years, Lamb Investigations has investigated hundreds of trials at the State and Federal levels, with victories in both.


Jim Thomas

Jim comes from a deeply rooted military family.  He began his career with 5 years in the United States Army, where he served as a 19 Delta recognizance scout. During his military service he obtained a leadership position and was rigorously trained in intelligence gathering, reporting, opposition analysis, and target location.  Jim utilizes the  knowledge and experience he achieved during his military service in combination with his education at the University of Tennessee in the field of private investigation to provide his clients with comprehensive and professional service.  As the lead investigator of Lamb Investigations civil division, he is especially proficient in web based proprietary data based searches, skip tracing, intricate surveillance, and difficult infiltrations.  

Dan Helton

Native to east Tennessee, Dan began his career with four years in the United States Air Force where he served as a fire team member for three years on an anti terrorist security team.  During this time he received intense training and experience while supervising and performing security activities for the Department of Defense and Department of Energy.  His duties included weapons system security, air base and FOB (forward operating base) defense, reconnaissance, surveillance of convoy/ priority movement routes, resource management and protection, armament and equipment, training, and information security.  Dan combines his military experience with the education he received at the University of Tennessee in the field of private investigation, along with in field training, to become a complete, reputable professional who provides services and results based on honor and integrity.
